Congleton Service is very proud to offer this survivor of a 1975 Range Rover two door. This is the only two door Range Rover that Congleton Service has ever stewarded and then offered for sale, on consignment.
We chose to take the vehicle in because it is an exceptionally clean example with zero corrosion throughout the body, frame, and underside. This vehicle has lived a very charmed life of light use and a high degree of care. It features a four-speed manual transmission, working radio, refinished seats, high quality exterior paint, high quality interior carpet, and a generally well preserved and presentable exterior finish.
Congleton Service has just completed a $10,000.00 scope of work to prepare it for the sale. This included a replacement gearbox, numerous services to the choke and throttle linkages, which were previously set up incorrectly. We believe that this vehicle is ready to be enjoyed by its future owner.
When you look across the vehicle, there are no dents in the body, which is very rare. The body is very straight, the roof is not dented, and the wheels & tires are also of a very high quality and present exceptionally well. Again, this is the only corrosion-free two door that we have ever seen and that is why we decided to take it on. It is ready to be driven "As Is" or given further touches and improvements by Congleton Service.
When driving the vehicle, being a four-speed, a lot of your cruising is done in the 4th gear, which is very enjoyable and smooth. The manual gearbox on this vehicle has a great feel to it.
The vehicle's interior is very presentable. The dashboard is not cracked and the steering wheel is very presentable. The door cards, rear trim panels, and rear seats have all been refinished. All of these are in keeping with the proper aesthetic and color for this vehicle. This color is called "Sahara Dust" and is an original color offered by Range Rover in 1975.
This vehicle has 70,000km on the odometer. The odometer is no longer rolling over, so we are not sure how long it has been at 70,000km.
The mirrors on this vehicle are front wing mounted, not the later side mirrors, giving the vehicle a very classic look. This vehicle generates lots of compliments from visitors at the shop!
We are very excited to offer this vehicle on consignment and are even more excited for it to find a home where it can be added to the fleet, enjoyed, and put to use.
The interior gauges and clock are functional. Having a functional analog clock is an exceptionally cool feature.
You will notice that there is zero corrosion on the underside or floors. We were given leeway to complete a scope of work to get this vehicle especially dialed in for the next customer and believe we have reached that point.
