1995 British Racing Green Range Rover Classic - This is Texas

Congleton Service is thrilled to introduce this extraordinary 1995 Range Rover Classic short wheelbase (SWB), ‘This is Texas.’ Adorned with the rare Tom Wilkinson Racing (TWR) body kit, this Range Rover Classic stands out in stunning British Racing Green. It is complemented by a classic Brown Connolly leather interior with brown and tan trims, embodying timeless elegance.

As remarkable as its appearance is, the real transformation of this Range Rover occurred under the hood. The Rover has 190,000 on the odometer. At approximately 180,000, the Rover came into the care of Congleton Service. It then received a complete drivetrain upgrade with the CS Specter 5.0 Liter Rover engine, a custom drivetrain only offered by Congleton Service. This upgrade maintains the look and feel of the classic 3.9 Lucas system and significantly increases the vehicle's power, making it a more enjoyable and powerful driving experience. The Transmission installed with the motor is a dyno-tested (for smooth shifting) ZF 4 speed completely rebuilt with ZF genuine internals. The Borg Warner All wheel drive transfer box has also been rebuilt in the UK and shipped back to Congleton for final installation.

Beyond the powerful engine enhancements, significant improvements have been made to its suspension, cooling, and fuel systems to match. Suspension bushings, shocks, and coil springs have all been installed to replace the electric air suspension that came with the vehicle. All genuine components were used. In the last 10,000 miles, the Rover has received a performance aluminum radiator, custom Congleton Fuel map, and a standalone oil cooler system to allow extra capacity in the radiator. The AC has been serviced and upgraded for cool driving down south. All suspension bushings were replaced with genuine LR bushings. The brakes, swivel balls, and axles have also been recently serviced.

Let’s get to the heart of what makes this Rover special. The interior has been extensively enhanced with a Congleton service radio and Bluetooth connectivity. We’ve replaced the center stack, prone to cracking, with our own proprietary design that’s far stronger and more durable. The seat base trim and interior trims have been upgraded, complemented by a new wood kit. Overall, Taylor Congleton has rated the interior a 9 out of 10.

The attention to detail extends beyond the interior upgrades, enhancing every aspect of this Range Rover’s functionality and aesthetic. The Rover also received new door window frames, seals, door service, and adjustments for its most recent services. The list is essentially endless. This vehicle offers an exceptional driving experience with a lot of power and compliments.
